the story.
It all started with a mom, not a dad. Ironic, right?
origins.
My mom shared some concerns about how the world was turning. "Justin," she said, "could you fortify my home a bit with supplies?"
"Of course, mom." So I embarked on the journey, but it soon became overwhelming. How do you know what to prepare for? I was not interested in going
"Prepper-mode" - but was there any alternative?

I decided to focus on the first 3 days of an emergency. I researched companies making Packs and was never impressed with what I got for my money. Some of them were cheap. Some of them were nice. But none of them provided all I wanted, for a good price.
That's because I wanted a single Pack that could cover an entire family. Stuffed with top-notch gear. Intuitive for an ordinary fellow like me...or like my mom.
me.
So, I made a survival Pack myself. Three of them, actually. For my mom, myself and my wife - to be stored in cars, to always have on-hand.
I started showing my friends. Their response was twofold: awe and, "Make me one." I would reply, "No, make one yourself." But they never did, which was telling. Dads don't have the time to do this. They're eager to defend their family, but life...you know?
Maybe I was on to something with this? The plot thickens, because I'm not just a son. Or a dad. I'm a pastor, too. With a heart towards men and manhood, I like to see dads step up. Sometimes they just need a spark. A next best step. And so...

...all of this coalesced into starting up The Dad Pack.

the dad pack.
But with no experience in business, the uphill climb began. Sales Tax Permits, LLC status, Copyrights, Terms and Conditions...it's overwhelming.

But it's figure-out-able.

That's the whole thing about The Dad Pack, too. Fatherhood, preparedness, stepping up as a man? Overwhelming. But it's one step at a time.
You gotta find your Why. What's driven me through all of this is thinking about the future protection of kiddos and wives, mobilized by Dads stepping up, armed with The Dad Pack. That's exhilarating.

There's no place I'd rather be. What about you?
Just never forget that we've always got your pack.
